Terms of Service

1. The service

ytapi provides a paid HTTP API that returns YouTube transcripts and video metadata. Data is fetched from YouTube on demand, at your request, for the video you specify. We do not operate a general-purpose crawler and do not build archives of YouTube content.

2. Accounts and billing

You are billed only for successful (HTTP 200) API calls. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; top-up credits do not expire. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secret. Revoking a key takes effect immediately.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to infringe copyright, to bypass YouTube access restrictions you are otherwise bound by, or to resell raw YouTube data as a competing data feed. Rate and plan limits apply per API key.

4. Availability

The service depends on third-party sources that change without notice. Failed requests are not billed. We publish live status and success rates on the status page.
